Online hack space and residencies for participatory artistic strategies.
Digitales Labor is a format of HAU Hebbel am Ufer that discusses sustainability of digital performance practice on several levels: Which encounters, which accesses and which possibilities of participation do virtual and hybrid spaces allow? How can projects be implemented in a socially and ecologically resource-friendly way? The Digital Lab will explore which artistic themes, forms and ways of working are relevant for the free contemporary digital performance arts in perspective and beyond the pandemic.
During the Online Hack Space (curated by Jeanne Charlotte Vogt), five groups will experience impulses on digital participatory art together with the HAU4 audience, exchange ideas with each other, and work in various workshops on their project ideas with which they previously applied for the Online Hack Space. At the end of the five-day event, the participants present their concept, after which a jury selects two groups for a subsequent residency.
Dgtl fmnsm supported the online hack space as well as the two groups of artists selected for the consecutive residency through mentoring.
