FACE your bodies deals with the influence of technologies on one’s own bodily perception. What possibilities are there for rediscovering physicality with the help of technology? Which parts of the body are still human, which have long been cyborgian? How can supposedly “natural biological facts” and constricting binaries be reconsidered from this viewpoint? To what extent can posthumanist conceptions help to answer anew the question of what it actually means to be human in the year 2021? The workshop will employ bodywork methods and strategies from the performing arts to collectively reflect and experiment. The workshop will take place on Discord and will be hosted by Philisha Kraatz. Co-host in this edition is Joran Yonis. Philisha Kraatz is part of dgtl fmnsm and works as an experience researcher and performance artist:in. Joran Yonis is (performance) artist, curator, researcher and genderhacker.
