Adam Erdmann and Franzi Goralski have been collaborating as the artist duo „die Blaue Distanz“ since early 2016. Both studied fine arts in Dresden and Amsterdam, working at the intersection of visual art, artistic research, and performative practices. Their work focuses on narratives of community, queer historiography, and low-hierarchy spatial design. „die Blaue Distanz“ creates transdisciplinary projects that are both research-based and concept-driven.
They have exhibited and collaborated both nationally and internationally, including at Het Hem in Amsterdam (NL), Kunsthalle Osnabrück (DE), Cities of Days in Los Angeles (US), un/titled Gallery in Tbilisi (GE), the dgtl fmnsm collective (DE), stone collective (DE), and 5020 Gallery in Salzburg (AT).
